“The journey was fine my son “Caro replied as she sat down without even looking at favour
“Kelvin! How are you, it has been long that I saw you, and I must say you have really grown into a big boy, so how Is your brother Emmanuel? Nathan asked
“He’s fine dad “Kelvin replied
“But mother! Who do you leave Emmanuel with in porthacourt “he asked
“I left him in the care of my friend, but I will be returning back to porthacourt first thing tomorrow morning because of him “Caro said
“Grandma! Who is this boy you came with? Cynthia asked and Caro sighed
“So nathan, you didn’t tell your children about Jessica’s children, to the extent your daughter don’t know who Kelvin is “Caro said
“Mother! Is not everything they will tell the children, they are too young to understand, that was why I didn’t tell them anything, but now Kelvin is here, they will get to know themselves “Nathan said and this got Caro angry
“Which one is they are too young to understand, Amanda is ten, Bobo is eight, Cynthia is six, while cherish is four, and you are telling me that they are too young to understand, why not admit that you are hiding it from them that they have other siblings Kelvin and Emmanuel “Caro tackled him
“Please mother, don’t start again, you know I can never hid Kelvin and Emmanuel from them “Nathan defended himself

“Please mama! What can I offer you, I know you must be hungry after the long journey, please what can I get for you “Favour asked and mama eyed her
“Just tell the maid to prepare something nice for me and my grandson “Caro said aggressively
“Okay ma! I will do that right away, please my son feel free, here is your home okay “favour said to Kelvin and he nodded his head

Later that night, they all had dinner and went to bed.

The next day morning, Caro returned back to porthacourt, while Kelvin started living with his father and stepmother favour and they enrolled him in secondary School and put him in jss3 because that was the class he was before.

Favour was very nice to Kelvin and she took him like her own child.

One day, favour prepared breakfast one morning when the children are dressed for school and they all sat on the dinning to eat apart from Kelvin who was still in his room, when Nathan noticed that Kelvin wasn’t with them on the dinning
“Why is Kelvin not here on the dinning ? Nathan asked his wife
“I have called him in his room and he said that he’s coming, let’s eat he will soon join us “favour replied and then they started eating, after some minutes, Kelvin came out from his room and headed to the dinning, on getting there, he opened his food and it was fried rice and chicken, immediately he frowned his face
“Kevin dear, what is the matter, don’t you like the food? Favour asked with a concern tone but Kelvin didn’t reply as he kept on frowning his face
“Kelvin! This one you are frowning your face like this, don’t you like the food? Nathan also asked
“No I don’t like it “Kelvin replied still frowning
“So what do you want to eat now because you are running late to school? Nathan asked
“I want to eat snail and watering beans “Kelvin said and favour sighed
