“Neha, you don’t have to look so sad. Don’t worry. I trust my son. He won’t go back on his words,” Mrs Sharma said as she pats Neha’s shoulders lightly.

They are both sitting in a lounge and Zeenat is sitting just across them, pressing her phone as usual. I am sure she is jobless? That’s why she always take pictures and shoot her bum out according to one little devil.?

“Ma… It’s not that. I am just worried with the way Samir has been behaving. I don’t think Aamir will want to get engaged to me or even marry me cause of this,” Neha said with a sad look.

“Neha my dear, why don’t you invite your parents over for dinner tomorrow? I’ll also call them to inform them. I will ask Aamir to come home early tomorrow,” Mrs Sharma said with a knowing smile and Neha blushed before nodding.

Zeenat looked up just then and called out,“Mother… Shouldn’t you inform brother first instead of planning his engagement like this? You should know his decision f…”

“Shut up! I don’t want to hear another word from you,” Mrs Sharma immediately hushed her and turned back to Neha with a smile. Who cares what Aamir thinks? As long as this beautiful and well-mannered girl in front of her becomes her daughter in-law.

Neha stood up and said,“Mother, I’ll leave now. I didn’t go home yesterday… My mother must have been so worried about me and it’s getting late now.”

Mrs Sharma smiled at the way Neha called her ‘mother’. She looked out of the window and said,“Don’t you want to wait for Aamir and Samir so you can wish them goodnight?”

“I have been waiting since morning. I really have to leave now ma,” Neha answered as she smiled and picked up her handbag. Then she waved goodbye at Mrs Sharma and Zeenat.

Zeenat ignored her cause she was still upset with the way her mother spoke to her because of her.

Aamir walked out of the room fully dressed for work. He had reached the sitting room and was picking up the lunch box already packed for him when Samir ran out.

“Daddy! Daddy! Can I follow you to your office again!?,” He asked suprising Aamir. Aamir looked down at him and arched an eyebrow when he saw his outfit.

He was dressed up in a red shirt and black trouser that had suspenders holding the trouser and the shirt together. He even had this cute little black tie. Okay… What’s the occasion?

Samir twirled around and smirked before saying,“Papa, how do I look? I am even dressed for work.” Before Aamir could reply, Samir’s nanny came out laughing. She was holding a school bag in one hand and a lunch box in the other.

“See, I have a lunch box like your own. We can eat together,” Samir said happily. The nanny smiled and greeted Aamir,“Salaam sir. I had to lie to him that he was going to follow you to the office when he refused to get dressed for school.”

Samir frowned and looked up at the nanny. He pointed at her with a very serious facial expression,“Very bad auntie… Very bad of you. Don’t lie. Allah doesn’t like it.”

Aamir smiled and ruffled his hair. He the bent down and kissed him on the cheek before saying,“Samir… Go to school today. You will follow me to the office some other time okay? Listen to your nanny and don’t cause trouble.”

Samir pouted but didn’t reply. He just watched his father go and didn’t say a word. Even on the way to his school, he didn’t talk to his nanny to show that he is very upset.

He didn’t bade her goodbye also. The nanny smiled and mumbled to herself,“I wonder who he got that behaviour from.” I wonder too… Is it Zoya or Aamir?
